Nonfarm payroll jobs data show that the US economy in the 21st century no longer creates net new jobs in tradable goods and services. In the 21st century, job growth in “the world’s only superpower” has a definite third world flavor. US job growth has been limited to domestic services that cannot be moved offshore, such as waitresses and bartenders and health and social services.
These are not jobs that comprise ladders of upward mobility. Income inequality is worsening, and education is no longer the answer.
The problem is that middle class jobs, both in manufacturing and in professional occupations such as engineering, are being offshored as corporations replace their American workforces with foreigners.
The latest bombshell is that even those professional jobs that remain located in America are not safe. There is a vast industry of immigration law firms that enable American corporations to replace their American workers with foreigners brought in on Work Visas.
Except for Lou Dobbs on CNN, the US TV and print media have so far ignored the astounding story. Where are the headlines: “US Jobs: No American Need Apply”?
For Millions of Americans in Service Jobs they have seen their Wages stagnate and Inflation soar. In the last 5 years, since 2002:
Food has gone up 12.2%
Milk has gone up 41%
Diapers up 27%
The Cost of Living is up 12%
Cost of Gas is up 48%

I don’t think so but they should so they can experience what they have done to the world so they could afford living as they have for the last decades.
I don’t know what you live, but things look great around here. I see big homes being built and sold. I see highways crammed with expensive cars and SUVs. I see restaurants with two hour waits for tables.
Somebody must be making money. And this stuff cost more than McDonalds and Walmart pay. So, where are they working?
The reason the US economy is not what it should be can be laid squarely on the doorstep of the US education system. Schools, even colleges are turning out millions of semi literate graduates, many of which can not read or write very well. They have had their heads stuffed with liberal garbage about all the world is a village, etc. If there are not enough engineers or skilled workers, what is industry supposed to do? They get them from other countries where schools are not run by the UFT. (Union of failed teachers) Investement tax cuts have absolutely nothing to do with the problem.
I feel you’re correct, the flood from the south will overtake our sovereign rights and rules. Our legislators say they cannot be sent back, well back they have to go, Who says they can’t be sent back. I give permission as a citizen to give my Senators the next year off so they can go illegal hunting as they need to do to be able to keep their jobs. The mo***s Are doing anything of value anyway.
