Obviously Webster must be a bigot. Are *** activists planning a boycott yet? Will it include all reference materials, or just the “tough parts”?

While I’m thinking about it…Boaz married a Moabite, David a Hittite, Rahab was a Canaanite….I could go on
Kyle - Regardless, I am not seeing that in the dictionary. You are missing my point I think. I just want to make sure I am not referencing bigot materials. Do I need to throw out my dictionary or what?

Is this legal?
also, i’m not a recent immigrant or somebody that doesn’t speak english. i been here since i was 5. so i’m as american as you can get. Also, i might not have been clear on my question. I’m not sayin im entitled to anything. I’m asking is it illegal to deny an INTERVIEW. The answers i’m getting are as if i asked about getting the actual position.
let me ask this then. is it required for them to give you a reason?

I like to paint logos, but I try to combine 2 different common logos into one logo that looks familiar, but is not an exact duplicate of either. My question is, is it legal to sell my artwork, or am I going to have problems with Coca-Cola and McDonalds getting all bent out of shape if I morph thier logos together. If thier is some law, can someone reference it?

I had to include them on the application because I had been there for years. I was unfairly fired from this company, and then took legal action against them. They **** me, but they should keep their opinion to themselves. If they are bad-mouthing me to potential new employers, what can I do about it?

For example, we recently hired a freelance software programmer who works from home and invoices us as work is completed. What level of background check is required? I have not been able to find anything that says it is a ‘must do’.

I have been told that it is not legal for a former employee to give incorrect or hurtful information on a reference check for a persecutive new employer. How would one prove that this is occurring when these checks are done over phone calls, that I do not believe can be recorded. How have people won these types of cases? What are the actual laws. Can someone say “He was a terrible employee, I would be careful”? What is the recourse? Have these cases ever been won against large companies?
